The camp will have a physician and/or nurse on staff full time. However, in case hospitalization is required, each runner should be fully covered by his/her own health and accident insurance policy. A supplemental insurance policy is included in the cost of registration.
A health care questionnaire is part of the official registration process. All runners must have had a physical within the last 12 months. Your release signature on the registration form will confirm your physical exam. The actual physical exam document is not required. Runners who are allergic to bee stings must bring their own anti-venom kits on each run. All runners must be mentally prepared to concentrate on the footing on the trails to avoid turned ankles. Any runners with pre-existing medical conditions such as asthma, high blood pressure, taking medications, or any other medical concerns must identify themselves at registration and then review their condition with the camp medical personnel. There will be certified lifeguards to oversee swimming.
