Our camp utilizes HR monitors to optimize the camper's training and allow him/her to understand how their four specific energy systems work.
It is sad to say but the wireless heart rate technology in use today is not as accurate as earlier HR monitoring systems. A case of the latest is not always the greatest if I have ever seen one. Your HR reading can be off as much as five beats or more per minute utilizing just the wireless technology. When being a beat off means you are in a different energy system or running junk miles you can see the importance of being totally accurate. Therefore in order to be totally accurate you must use a HR monitor strap with your watch.
Fortunately there are some options where you can just get a HR strap to go with your watch that already has the wireless technology. I would encourage you to pursue this option to save both time and money and allow you to train more accurately and efficiently.
The
Coospo HR monitor strap is by far and away the best HR monitor strap you can get for the price and compatibility. We have yet to find a watch that wasn't compatible with this strap.
